The Paldiski North Cliff and Pakri Lighthouse walk follows the northern coast of the Pakri Peninsula, on the Baltic Klint in Lääne-Harju Parish, Harju County, Estonia. The route starts in Paldiski town, a former closed Soviet naval base, and is reachable by Elron train from Tallinn or by car; there is no permit requirement. From the town centre walkers continue on foot or by short taxi ride to the north cliff, then follow the coastal edge to the Pakri lighthouse, a tall limestone tower built in the nineteenth century on the cliff top. The full return walk is about 8 to 10 kilometres and takes roughly two and a half to three and a half hours. Terrain is mostly flat, with no meaningful elevation gain, so the main considerations are distance, wind and the cliff edge rather than climbing. Surfaces include town pavement, gravel and dirt roads, grassy tracks and limestone rubble near the shore. The cliff top is fully exposed, with strong winds common even in summer and steep drops of around twenty metres to the sea, so walkers should keep a safe distance from the edge, especially in wet or windy conditions. There is very little shade. Landmarks along the way include the Paldiski harbour area, remnants of the Soviet-era military presence, wind turbines on the peninsula, the sea view over the Gulf of Finland and the lighthouse itself. The lighthouse is the natural turn-around point, and some visitors extend the walk to explore the cliff paths to either side. Access to the interior of the tower is limited and depends on the season, so this should be checked locally. There are no huts on the route; cafes and shops in Paldiski provide shelter and refreshments at the start and end of the walk. Drinking water should be brought from town. Because the peninsula has few trees, a windproof jacket is recommended even on warm days, and visitors should avoid walking the cliff edge in storms.
