Limassol is the largest port city on the south coast of Cyprus, with a medieval castle in its Old Town, a modern marina and seafront promenade, and the ancient sites of Kourion, Kolossi and Amathus within a short drive.
Limassol has a hot-summer Mediterranean climate: dry summers with 31-34 C highs, mild winters with most rain from November to March, and sea temperatures of about 17-27 C. Humidity is higher on the south coast than inland.
