One of Croatia's oldest museums, with an Egyptian collection, the Vučedol Dove and the Zagreb Mummy with its linen book.
The Archaeological Museum is housed in the Vranyczany-Hafner Palace beside Zrinjevac Park. Its prehistoric collection includes the Vučedol Dove, a 5,000-year-old ceramic vessel that is a Croatian symbol. The Egyptian section houses the Zagreb Mummy, wrapped in the world's longest Etruscan text, the Liber Linteus Zagrabiensis. A lapidarium displays Roman stone monuments from Andautonia and Siscia. A garden with a cafe is available.
