A memorial to the Ming general Shi Kefa, who defended Yangzhou against the Manchu army in 1645.
Shi Kefa was the Ming official who commanded Yangzhou's defence in 1645 when the Qing armies took the city after a siege that was followed by a massacre. He was executed after refusing to surrender, and his memorial was established at Meihua Ridge.
The hall contains calligraphy and objects from the period, and the tomb area is a quiet walled garden. It is a place for reflection rather than spectacle.
