Because the museum itself vets the fair's organization, vendor turnover is relatively low and many sellers are recognizable regulars, which tends to keep the ratio of genuine antiques to reproduction items reasonably high compared with unregulated street markets, though buyers should still inspect items for authenticity before paying premium prices. Bargaining is customary and expected, particularly on furniture and higher-value collectibles, while smaller items like postcards or coins are often sold near marked prices. Cash is the dominant payment method among stallholders, with card acceptance uncommon; there is no tax-refund mechanism since this is an informal open-air fair. The location on Avenida Paulista, one of the city's main avenues, means the fair draws a steady flow of both collectors and passersby, especially around midday. Food options are limited on-site, though the surrounding Avenida Paulista corridor has numerous cafes and juice bars within a short walk. The stalls run in a line along the sheltered underside of the MASP building, making the fair usable even in light rain, with furniture and larger pieces typically positioned toward the ends of the row and small collectibles concentrated in the center.
