Bahrain is an island kingdom in the Arabian Gulf blending ancient history with modern luxury. Home to the ancient Dilmun civilization, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the legendary Tree of Life, this archipelago offers world-class dining, Formula 1 racing, and authentic Arabian hospitality.
Bahrain has a hot desert climate (BWh) with extremely hot summers and mild, pleasant winters. Summer temperatures from June to September routinely reach 38-45°C with very high humidity from the Arabian Gulf, making outdoor activity uncomfortable outside early mornings. Winters from November to February are ideal for tourism with temperatures of 15-24°C, clear blue skies, and occasional brief rain showers. The island receives very little annual rainfall (about 77mm), almost entirely in winter months.

The seasons
What to expect in each part of the year.
Spring
Months: Mar-May
Spring is transitional — March is pleasant (20-28°C) and coincides with the F1 Grand Prix. April and May warm rapidly, reaching 30-38°C by May. Humidity begins rising in April. The Spring of Culture Festival makes March-April culturally rich.
Summer
Months: Jun-Sep
Intense heat (38-45°C) with very high humidity makes outdoor activity extremely challenging. The island feels empty of tourists but hotel and restaurant prices drop significantly. Pools, malls, and indoor attractions remain comfortable in air-conditioning.
Fall
Months: Oct-Nov
Temperatures gradually drop from October (28-35°C) to November (20-28°C), making outdoor exploration increasingly comfortable. October can still feel warm; November is excellent for all activities. This is the start of Bahrain's social season.
Winter
Months: Dec-Feb
Bahrain's peak tourist season with comfortable temperatures of 15-24°C, clear skies, and low humidity. Occasional brief rain showers (rarely lasting more than a few hours) can temporarily cool the air. National Day celebrations in December and the Spring of Culture in February-March make this culturally vibrant.
