Rhapsody's is a terrace restaurant and bar at the Arcades Shopping Centre on Great East Road in Lusaka, Zambia, and is widely regarded as one of the capital's best-known social venues. The kitchen works in an international casual-dining idiom rather than a chef-driven one: there is no Michelin lineage or tasting menu, and the appeal lies in dependable grills, burgers and pizzas served in a relaxed, open-air setting. Grilled steak is the dish most associated with the house, alongside burgers and oven-baked pizza, with portions aimed at sharing over drinks as much as at a formal sit-down meal.

The dining room character is defined by the terrace. Tables spill outdoors beside the shopping-centre walkways, giving the venue an easy, people-watching atmosphere that fills with office workers at lunch, families at weekends and a sociable crowd in the evening. Dress is casual, and noise rises steadily after sunset as the bar picks up, so quieter conversation is easier at lunchtime or mid-afternoon. Service is informal and table-side.

The beverage programme centres on the bar: local Zambian lagers such as Mosi, South African wines by the glass or bottle, cocktails and soft drinks. Coffee and breakfast are available because the restaurant opens at 8:00 AM and runs until 10:00 PM daily, which makes it practical for a late breakfast, a business lunch or an after-work drink.

Prices sit in the mid-range, with a typical meal costing roughly K180-400 (about $9-21), which is moderate by Lusaka standards. Reservations are rarely essential; walk-ins are welcome during the week, but telephoning ahead is advisable for Friday and Saturday dinner, when terrace tables are the first to go. Its position inside a large shopping complex also means free parking and easy access to banks, pharmacies and shops before or after a meal.
