The Edgewater Hotel

The Edgewater Hotel holds the unique distinction of being Seattle's only over-water hotel, perched on the city's historic Pier 67 directly above the waters of Elliott Bay on the Seattle Waterfront at 2411 Alaskan Way in Washington State. Built in 1962 to accommodate visitors during the World's Fair, the property became legendary when The Beatles stayed here during their 1964 US tour, famously fishing from their hotel room windows — a stunt that made international headlines and cemented the hotel's place in rock-and-roll history. A mosaic on the building's facade commemorates the visit.

Guest rooms at The Edgewater are decorated in a Pacific Northwest lodge style, with rough-hewn furniture, plaid textiles, and stone fireplaces in many rooms. The hotel's 223 rooms include bay-view accommodations overlooking Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains with floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as city-view rooms facing the Seattle skyline. In-room fireplaces are available in select categories and are particularly popular from autumn through spring.

The hotel's signature dining venue, Six Seven Restaurant, is built partially over the water and delivers panoramic views of the bay alongside a menu focused on Pacific Northwest seafood — Dungeness crab, wild salmon, and local oysters sourced from Washington State waters. The adjacent bar is particularly popular at sunset when the western exposure lights the Olympic Mountains in golden relief.

Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a concierge team experienced in arranging Seattle experiences, and a location adjacent to the Olympic Sculpture Park and within easy walking distance of Pike Place Market, the Seattle Aquarium, and the Bell Street Pier cruise terminal. Washington State ferries depart from nearby Colman Dock for Bainbridge Island and Kitsap Peninsula destinations. The hotel's position at the north end of the Seattle waterfront keeps it removed from the ferry terminal's heaviest foot traffic.
