Red Rock Grill (Zion Lodge)

Red Rock Grill is the only full-service restaurant located inside Zion National Park, operating within the historic Zion Lodge at the heart of Zion Canyon in southern Utah. Positioned beside the Virgin River and beneath towering sandstone cliffs, the restaurant offers a dining location that no other establishment in Utah can match — guests eat with the canyon walls as their backdrop and can watch the park shuttle ferry hikers to trailheads while seated at dinner. The menu is straightforward American with strong regional touches: Anasazi bean tacos draw on the indigenous legumes of the Colorado Plateau, the Zion mountain trout is sourced from regional aquaculture, and the Dutch oven pot roast nods to the pioneer cooking traditions of the early settlers who first traversed this canyon. Three meal periods are served daily — breakfast from 6:30 AM accommodates early-rising hikers, a midday lunch service catches day trippers coming off the Narrows and Angels Landing, and dinner from 5 PM draws both lodge guests and visitors arriving from Springdale. Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner, particularly from April through October when park visitation peaks; the restaurant fills nightly during summer months. Zion's free shuttle system stops at the lodge, making access by private vehicle unnecessary for those already inside the park.
