Split Rock Resort

Split Rock Resort is a four-season family resort on Lake Harmony in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, in the Pocono Mountains roughly 90 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles west of New York City. The resort property sits adjacent to Big Boulder Lake and connects to Big Boulder Ski Area, positioning it within a recreational cluster that draws visitors for skiing and tubing in winter, lake sports and golf in summer, and fall foliage in September and October. State Route 903 links the resort to Interstate 80, enabling arrivals from both metro areas in under two hours under normal traffic conditions.

Accommodations span hotel rooms in the main lodge building, condo-style suites with kitchen facilities and living areas, and lodge cabins with fireplaces—giving the resort a range of configuration options suited to couples, families, and groups. The indoor waterpark is open year-round and features slides, a lazy river, a zero-entry children's pool, and a hot tub area; it is the resort's primary draw for families visiting in shoulder seasons when outdoor recreation is limited. An 18-hole golf course on the property serves as the primary summer recreation focus alongside lake kayaking, paddleboarding, and hiking on adjacent trails. Two restaurants and a bar serve the resort, with additional dining options in the nearby Pocono-area towns of White Haven and Jim Thorpe, approximately 15 to 20 minutes by car. A full-service spa offers massage and body treatments. Big Boulder Ski Area, accessible by a short walk or shuttle from the main lodge, operates terrain suited to beginner and intermediate skiers as well as a dedicated snow tubing park.
