Porta is Asbury Park's most visually energetic dining destination, occupying a sprawling industrial space on Kingsley Street that opens onto one of the Shore's most beloved outdoor beer gardens. The restaurant built its identity on wood-fired Neapolitan pizza — long-fermented dough cooked in an Italian-imported oven — producing charred, airy pies that range from a pure Margherita with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella to more elaborate combinations such as the Truffle Funghi, finished with a drizzle of truffle oil and wild mushrooms. The pizza is the reason most diners come, but the menu extends to antipasti, salads, and pasta preparations that hold their own alongside the oven-fresh pies. The beer garden is the true heart of the Porta experience: a large outdoor space with long communal tables, string lighting, and a programme of live music and DJ nights that regularly turns dinner into an event.
