Benson Craft Beer Crawl

The Benson Craft Beer Crawl is a self-guided beer tour through the Benson neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska, one of the city's most vibrant arts and nightlife districts. The crawl runs along Maple Street between approximately 52nd and 64th Streets, a compact corridor that contains more than ten independent craft beer venues — breweries, taprooms, bars, and bottle shops — within comfortable walking distance of one another.

The experience is primarily self-organized: participants set their own pace and sequence of stops. Once a month, the neighborhood hosts the organized Benson Craft Crawl event, which typically charges a modest entry fee of $0–$15 and includes a commemorative glass and a passport card to be stamped at each participating venue. Outside the monthly event, visitors can explore the Maple Street corridor independently any day during normal business hours.

Anchor stops include Benson Brewery at 6059 Maple Street, which occupies a renovated historic building and pours a rotating lineup of house-brewed beers alongside a pub food menu. Other participating venues span a spectrum from hop-forward IPAs to locally crafted sour ales and Nebraska-produced lagers, giving visitors a broad cross-section of the state's growing independent brewing culture.

Individual beers are priced between $5 and $8 at most venues. Because the crawl is self-directed, duration is flexible — covering five or six stops typically takes three to five hours. Multiple food options on Maple Street allow participants to eat between stops. Ride-sharing services operate in the area and represent the recommended transport option at the end of the evening, as no major transit lines serve the Benson neighborhood directly.
