The Phoenix Public Market is Downtown Phoenix's premier farmers market, operating every Saturday from 7am to 1pm year-round at 721 N Central Ave. Established as an anchor of the Roosevelt Row arts district, the market draws together more than 80 vendors offering fresh Arizona-grown produce, locally made food products, and handcrafted artisan goods that reflect the diversity of the Sonoran Desert region.

The produce selection spans heirloom tomatoes, citrus fruits, desert herbs, and seasonal vegetables sourced from family farms across Maricopa County and the broader Arizona agricultural corridor. Unlike supermarket shopping, the market operates on a direct-producer model: most vendors are the farmers or makers themselves, allowing shoppers to ask about growing methods and ingredients. Organic and pesticide-free offerings are common, with several certified organic growers represented.

Food vendors are a major draw, with Sonoran hot dogs — a distinctive regional specialty featuring bacon-wrapped franks topped with pinto beans, tomatoes, and mayonnaise — available from dedicated carts. Food trucks rotate weekly, covering tacos, tamales, crepes, and cold-pressed juices. Arizona-specific pantry items are well represented: local honey from desert wildflowers, mesquite flour, prickly pear jam, and artisanal hot sauces.
