Armani Hotel Dubai occupies the lower floors of Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building at 828 metres, in the Downtown Dubai district. The hotel entrance opens at the base of the tower, beside The Dubai Mall and directly above the Dubai Fountain — one of the world's largest choreographed fountain systems. A climate-controlled pedestrian bridge links the complex to the Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa metro station approximately 600 metres away.

Designed directly by Giorgio Armani and opened in 2010, the hotel is the first realisation of the Armani Hotels & Resorts brand. Design philosophy follows Armani's signature minimalism: warm travertine stone, dark wenge wood, muted taupe and amber tones, and sculptural lighting throughout all public spaces and the 160 rooms and suites. There are no ornate chandeliers or gilded surfaces. Armani Classic rooms begin at approximately 45 square metres; the Ambassador Suite spans 480 square metres across two levels with panoramic Burj Khalifa and Downtown views. All rooms feature Armani-branded amenities, bespoke furniture, and automation-controlled lighting and climate systems.

Armani/Ristorante is the flagship fine-dining outlet, serving Italian cuisine with tables positioned to capture Burj Khalifa view corridors and Dubai Fountain sightlines. Armani/Amal specialises in contemporary Indian cooking from multiple regional traditions. Armani/Kaf operates as the lobby lounge for barista coffee, pastries, and light bites throughout the day. A fully licensed bar and lounge area is available for cocktails and evening drinks.

One of the hotel's key operational advantages is exclusive in-house access to Burj Khalifa's upper observation levels, bypassing standard public ticketing queues. The Armani/Spa houses 12 treatment rooms, a hammam, an indoor swimming pool, and a fitness suite with high-end equipment. Service is intentionally discreet with a high staff-to-guest ratio and personal butlers assigned to every room category from arrival. The hotel attracts design and fashion industry professionals, architecture enthusiasts, and luxury travellers drawn to the Armani identity as much as the location.

Tips for visiting

  • Reserve a room on an upper floor with a fountain-facing aspect — Dubai Fountain shows run at 6 pm and 6:30 pm daily and every 30 minutes from 8 pm onward.
  • The in-house Burj Khalifa observation deck access bypasses the public ticketing line, which can involve waits of 30–60 minutes; use it even if you visited before.
  • Armani/Ristorante is small; book dinner at least two to three weeks ahead for Friday and Saturday evenings.
  • The hotel's Armani/Spa indoor pool is one of the more private in Downtown Dubai — far less crowded than hotel rooftop pools in the area.

When to visit

Year-round. The Downtown area and Burj Khalifa are major New Year's Eve fireworks viewing points — rates peak sharply for 30–31 December. October to April is most comfortable for outdoor areas.

Accessibility

The Burj Khalifa lobby and hotel entrance are fully accessible at ground level. Dedicated lifts serve hotel floors. Accessible rooms with wider doorways and adapted bathrooms are available on request. The Burj Khalifa's observation floors are accessible by high-speed elevator.
