XVA Art Hotel

XVA Art Hotel occupies a restored wind-tower courtyard house in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood of Bur Dubai, a pedestrian quarter of coral-stone buildings, narrow lanes, and small museums close to the Dubai Creek abra crossings and the Textile Souk. The building itself dates to Dubai's pearling-era past, with traditional Gulf architecture — wind towers, carved wooden doors, and an open central courtyard — adapted into a working gallery and guesthouse, giving it a quiet, artistic character distinct from the city's high-rise hotels. The hotel has only 13 rooms, each individually decorated and furnished with pieces and artworks from local and regional artists, so no two rooms are alike; rooms are compact, prioritising character over size. An on-site art gallery hosts rotating exhibitions of contemporary Middle Eastern art, and the shaded courtyard café serves vegetarian-leaning Middle Eastern fare for breakfast and light meals throughout the day. There is no pool, spa, or gym, in keeping with the heritage-building setting and boutique scale. Service is personal and informal, with staff knowledgeable about the surrounding heritage district, making it best suited to culturally curious travellers rather than guests seeking resort-style amenities.
