Terraced park viewpoint over the Dnipro, the left bank and the Pedestrian Bridge, with the bronze St Volodymyr monument as foreground.
Volodymyrska Hill is a landscaped bluff above the Dnipro where the 1853 monument to St Volodymyr stands on a rotunda terrace. The view takes in the river, the Trukhaniv Island greenery and the long left-bank skyline, and at sunset the water turns copper. The terraces offer several compositions: the monument against the sky from the lower path, the river and Pedestrian Bridge from the railing, and the cross lit at night. The park is open to the public; on the busiest evenings the railing positions fill by sunset, so arrival 45 minutes early is advised. Check for temporary closures or fencing, and do not photograph any security or military presence.
