Trukhaniv Island Central Beach is a long sandy shore on Trukhaniv Island in the Dnipro river, directly opposite Kyiv's old town in Ukraine. It is reached on foot across the Pedestrian Bridge from Poshtova Ploshcha, which gives the beach one of the most scenic approaches in the city, with views back to the monasteries and embankment.

The shore is sand rather than pebble, wide enough for sunbathing and walking, and faces the main river channel, so it is more exposed to wind than the sheltered Hydropark side channels. The water is typical Dnipro river water: brownish-green with low clarity and a noticeable current, and there is no surf beyond boat wash. Older guides noted that part of the shore was used for camping while the rest stayed public, and the island retains a more open, natural feel than the built-up Hydropark. The atmosphere mixes families, groups of friends, cyclists and walkers, with a livelier summer scene around the seasonal rental and wakeboard points. Kiosks open in summer for drinks and snacks, and walking paths run along the shore. Toilets, loungers and lifeguard hours are not guaranteed, and visitors should bring their own water, shade and sun protection. No 2026 water data was found, and older Kyiv Post guidance said many riverside beaches are recreation zones where swimming is at the visitor's own risk. Access is on foot: the blue metro line runs to Poshtova Ploshcha, and the walk including the bridge takes about 20 minutes. There is no car access convenient to the central shore for most visitors, so parking is not a practical concern. In the wartime context the beach is open for walks, but the Defence Council recommends avoiding beaches. The island has no metro shelter, so visitors should know where the nearest shelter is, at Poshtova Ploshcha, before crossing the bridge, and should follow air-raid alerts.
