A long riverside walking and cycling route below the right-bank hills linking the Pechersk riverfront with Park Slavy, the Friendship of Peoples Arch area and the Vydubychi shoreline.
Kyiv's right-bank riverfront is walkable almost continuously in sections from the Podil and Poshtova Square area south through the Mariinskyi and Park Slavy stretches to Vydubychi. Paved paths and the park lawns sit below the steep Pechersk hills, with views across the Dnipro to the left bank. The route is flat, shaded in patches and well used by locals for walking and running. Some segments of the embankment and the Park Slavy memorial zone have restricted or temporarily changed access because of repairs and security measures, so the whole length cannot be assumed continuous; maps and local signage should be followed. Metro stations Arsenalna, Dnipro and Pecherska give access points, and the Poshtova Ploshcha funicular or the Pedestrian Bridge link the walk to Volodymyrska Hill and Trukhaniv Island. The walk is best in the early morning or at sunset; summer midday sun is strong on the exposed sections.
