Dongdaemun Design Plaza, known as DDP, stands at 281 Eulji-ro in Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea, and is the curving aluminium-clad landmark designed by Zaha Hadid. Its flowing, seamless forms have no straight lines, so the building rewards wide-angle frames that emphasise sweeping curves and reflections on the panel surface.

Zaha Hadid's curved DDP is free to view from the outside; the LED Rose Garden lights up at dusk. Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station (Line 2, 4, 5) Exit 1 is right next to it.

The most popular frames include the full facade from the plaza, the ramps and walkways leading over the roof and the LED Rose Garden, a field of about 25,000 illuminated LED roses that lights up from sunset. The exterior is free to view and photograph. Light is best at blue hour, when the LED roses and building lights glow against a deep sky, and at night for long exposures; on overcast days the aluminium panels soften, reducing glare and hot spots, while bright midday sun can create harsh reflections that a polarizing filter helps control. The building works year-round, with clear winter evenings producing sharp lighting and summer nights offering warm atmosphere. The plaza is a busy public space, particularly in the evening and during fashion or exhibition events, and the LED Rose Garden draws many visitors at dusk, so arriving at sunset gives time to select a tripod position before crowds peak. Tripods are generally acceptable in the open plaza but not inside exhibition halls, and staff may ask visitors to move if a tripod blocks a walkway. Drones are restricted in central Seoul and should not be flown. Interior exhibitions are ticketed separately and have their own photography rules. Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station, served by Lines 2, 4 and 5, has an exit right beside the plaza, and the surrounding area is flat and paved. Restrooms and water are available inside the complex and in nearby shopping malls.
