September-October: Best season for hiking โ fewer crowds, autumn colors, stable weather. Perfect for all difficulty levels including Triglav until late September.
November-March: Lower trails walkable with traction devices. High mountains require full alpine equipment. Snowshoeing popular on Velika Planina and Pohorje.
