September-October: Ideal hiking season with cooler temperatures, spectacular autumn foliage, and minimal crowds. Fruška Gora forests turn golden; excellent visibility for canyon views.
December-March: Lower mountain trails accessible but high-altitude routes closed or requiring snowshoes. Kopaonik becomes a ski destination. Tara accessible for winter walks in snow.
