March–May is one of the two rainy seasons with heavy daily rainfall making trails extremely muddy and slippery. Not recommended for serious hiking, but forest is lush and green.

June–September is the main dry season with the best hiking conditions — trails are firmer, weather is more predictable, and visibility better. Peak hiking season. Start early to beat heat.

🍂 Fall

October–November is a shorter rainy season. Trails are passable with good waterproof gear and sturdy boots but muddy conditions prevail. The landscape is beautifully green.

❄️ Winter

December–February is a shorter dry season (gravana pequena) offering good hiking conditions with cooler temperatures and lower rainfall. Excellent for highland hikes.
