Epoque Hotel

Epoque Hotel is a boutique property of 17 rooms at Intrarea Aurora 17C in Sector 1, Bucharest, Romania, set on a quiet side street close to Cișmigiu Gardens. The neighbourhood is calm and residential in feel, yet Calea Victoriei, Revolution Square and the Romanian Athenaeum are all within a pleasant walk, and the Old Town is roughly twenty minutes away on foot. Taxis and ride-hailing are readily available for longer journeys, and the Universitate and Piața Romană metro stations lie a short distance away. The hotel is a member of Relais & Châteaux, and its character is that of a small private residence rather than a large chain hotel. Interiors favour refined, individual design, and the garden terrace gives guests a quiet outdoor space that is unusual in a central location. Rooms are offered as Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites and Suites, and the amenities include air conditioning, wifi, a garden, a concierge and 24-hour reception. The on-site restaurant is a central draw and has a reputation for refined Romanian and European cooking, with a bar for pre-dinner drinks; breakfast is typically served in the dining room or on the terrace in good weather. The hotel has no pool or large spa, so its appeal is intimacy rather than facilities. Service is personal and attentive, with staff who learn guests' preferences, and a concierge who can arrange private transfers, restaurant bookings and city itineraries. This makes it well suited to couples, special occasions and travellers who value privacy. Rates in the $$$$ band, around 800-1,400 RON per night, are comparable to the large luxury hotels but with a very different, more personal atmosphere. A guest rating of about 4.6 is among the highest of the hotels in the city.
