Doha is Qatar's capital, a Gulf waterfront city where the Museum of Islamic Art, the traditional Souq Waqif, the Katara Cultural Village and the glass towers of West Bay sit within a short drive of each other.
Doha has a hot desert climate with very hot, humid summers (July and August highs of 41-42°C), mild winters (January lows around 12°C) and almost no rainfall (about 75 mm a year, mostly November to March). Coastal humidity makes June to September feel hotter than the thermometer reads.
