Al Bidda Park is a large waterfront park on the Corniche in Doha, Qatar, close to the Qatar National Theatre and between the Museum of Islamic Art and the West Bay skyline. It occupies a green strip of the bayside, with open lawns, palm-lined paths, shaded seating areas and wide pedestrian routes that link directly to the Corniche promenade. The park is a favourite for family picnics, jogging, cycling and evening strolls, and it is also used for public events and national celebrations. Visitors can walk or sit under the palms with a view across the water to the glass towers of West Bay, watch the dhows in the bay and use the cafes and kiosks nearby. A typical visit lasts one to two hours, or longer when combined with a Corniche walk. Entry is free and the park is open daily from about 06:00 to 23:00. Photo angles include the lawns facing the West Bay skyline, particularly at dusk when the towers are lit, and the palm-lined paths in morning light. Crowds are small on weekday mornings and grow in the late afternoon and evening, with weekends and public holidays the busiest, especially from October to April when temperatures are mild. In summer, the heat makes midday visits uncomfortable. Access is by Metro Red Line to Al Bidda station followed by a ten-minute walk, or by taxi from Souq Waqif for roughly QAR 10-15. The park combines easily with the Corniche, the Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif for a half-day outing around the waterfront in the cooler months of the year.
