Torel Palace Porto occupies a restored 19th-century manor house in the Entre Quintas area of Porto, where the city's historic garden district meets the northern bank of the Douro. The property sits on a hillside roughly 1.5 km upstream from the Ribeira and about 2 km from Avenida dos Aliados, reachable on foot in approximately 25 minutes along the riverside promenade or in 8–10 minutes by taxi from central Porto. São Bento railway station is the nearest major transport hub.

The palace retains its original neoclassical facade, decorative tile work, and period stonework while interior spaces have been adapted to house 23 individually decorated guest rooms. Each room is themed around a different Portuguese artistic or historical figure, with bespoke furnishings, original artwork, and locally sourced textiles. Room categories range from Classic Rooms to Garden Suites, the latter with private terrace access to the manicured grounds. The upper floors command panoramic sightlines across the Douro towards Vila Nova de Gaia and the port wine lodge district.

The in-house restaurant serves a menu rooted in Portuguese produce and Mediterranean technique; breakfast is considered among the stronger hotel breakfasts in Porto, regularly drawing guests from nearby properties. A compact bar occupies the ground-floor salon. The rooftop pool is the property's most-photographed feature, with a lap configuration and uninterrupted views of the river and distant bridge towers.
