Located on the private Pamalican Island in the Cuyo archipelago, Amanpulo is one of Southeast Asia's most exclusive resorts with individual casitas set among coconut groves along a pristine white-sand beach. Guests arrive by private charter flight and enjoy complete seclusion and bespoke service.
Amanpulo occupies the entirety of Pamalican Island in the Cuyo Archipelago, reached exclusively by a roughly 75-minute Amanpulo-operated charter flight from Manila, making the transfer part of the resort's exclusivity. Opened in 1993 as Aman's first Philippine property, the resort is composed of individual thatched-roof casitas raised on stilts among coconut groves, spread along a mile of white-sand beach, with several larger multi-bedroom villas for families. Each casita is decorated in a pared-back tropical style with teak furnishings, an outdoor rain shower, and a golf buggy for getting around the island. Dining spans several venues, including a beachfront restaurant for Filipino and international cuisine, a sushi bar, and in-villa private dining, with produce partly grown in the resort's own garden. The spa offers treatments in secluded garden pavilions, and facilities include a fitness center, tennis courts, and extensive water sports from the resort's own reef and surrounding sandbars. Butler service is provided to every casita, and the atmosphere is geared toward privacy-seeking honeymooners, families and high-end travelers rather than a conventional resort crowd. Beyond the beach, activities include stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, and excursions to nearby uninhabited islets, and the resort maintains its own generator, water and provisioning systems given the remoteness of Pamalican.
