Landmark Beach

Landmark Beach forms part of the larger Landmark Village complex in Oniru, Victoria Island, a private stretch of Atlantic coastline developed with beach clubs, restaurants, loungers, and watersport operators along the sand. Unlike Lagos's public beaches, access is controlled through a gate fee, which funds cleaner sand, lifeguard presence in the main swimming areas, and a more organized layout of umbrellas and seating. Visitors typically spend an afternoon moving between the beach itself, the on-site restaurants and bars, and activity operators offering jet-skiing, banana boat rides, and horseback riding along the shore. The beach club atmosphere intensifies on weekends, when live DJs, food vendors, and a younger Lagos crowd fill the loungers, while weekday visits are noticeably calmer and better suited to families or visitors wanting a quieter swim. Sunset views over the Atlantic from the beach loungers are a highlight, particularly from the restaurant terraces set slightly back from the sand. A full visit, including swimming, lounging, and a meal, comfortably runs three to five hours, though a shorter visit focused just on the beach and a walk along the shore can be done in under two hours. Because the beach sits within a gated commercial development, visitors should expect security checks at the entrance and be prepared to pay separately for loungers, umbrellas, and any watersport activities beyond the base gate fee.
