Boe Workers Lodge

Boe Workers Lodge is a no-frills budget accommodation in Boe District on the western side of Nauru, occupying the lowest price tier in the island's accommodation landscape. Boe District lies along the island's western coastal ring road, roughly in the centre of the western shoreline, approximately 3 kilometres north of the airport. The district is a residential and light-industrial zone historically connected to Nauru's phosphate industry, which once made it one of the wealthiest nations per capita before reserves were exhausted.

The lodge offers basic single rooms with fan cooling rather than air conditioning, which is reflected in the pricing. Beds are functional, storage is minimal, and bathroom facilities are shared among guests. The building is a plain single-storey structure maintained to a clean and secure standard. Rooms are equipped with a lockable door, adequate lighting, and shared bathroom access kept to a basic sanitary level. No WiFi, dining, or pool facilities are offered.

The property is best suited to travellers who intend to spend the majority of their time exploring the island by vehicle rather than using the accommodation as a base for relaxation. Given the small scale of Nauru — with a ring road circuit of only 19 kilometres — even Boe District is within a short drive of Anibare Bay, Menen Hotel's restaurant, Buada Lagoon, and the commercial facilities in Aiwo. For travellers whose priorities are budget efficiency, basic security, and a short commute from the western coast, the lodge serves its function without pretension. Vehicle hire is strongly recommended to offset the absence of on-site facilities.
