Vista Bar is a rooftop bar on Shwe Gon Daing Road in Bahan Township, Yangon, Myanmar, in the neighbourhood immediately south of the Shwedagon Pagoda hill. Its appeal is the elevated outlook: on a clear evening the gilded stupa of Shwedagon glows above the surrounding rooftops and tree canopy, which makes the venue a popular sunset-to-late-evening stop for visitors staying in Bahan and nearby Kamayut. The crowd is a mix of expatriates, business travellers, and younger Yangon locals meeting after work, mostly in their twenties to forties. Dress is casual; shorts and sandals are common, though smart casual is more comfortable on weekends. The atmosphere is relaxed and conversational rather than club-like, with background music kept at a level that allows talking. The drinks programme centres on local and regional bottled and draught beer, with Myanmar Beer and other lagers priced around MMK 4,000-6,000, alongside a short cocktail list of classics and tropical mixes at roughly MMK 8,000-14,000. Spirits by the glass, wine, and soft drinks are also usually available, and bar snacks such as fried appetisers and shared plates tend to accompany the drinks. Opening hours typically run through the evening until about 01:00, but closing times have shifted since 2021 and vary by township, so confirming on the venue's Facebook page or Google Maps before heading out is sensible. There is no cover charge. Reservations are generally not required for small groups, though larger parties may wish to arrange a table in advance, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings when the best seats facing the pagoda fill first. Bottle service is not a defining feature. Getting there is straightforward by taxi or ride-hailing app from downtown, and the area is a short ride from Kandawgyi Lake and Inya Lake.
