Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort occupies a four-hectare promontory on Avenue Princesse Grace in Monaco's Larvotto district, where the principality's eastern edge meets the sea. Designed under the creative direction of Jacques Garcia and opened in 2005 under the Société des Bains de Mer group, the resort departs from the grand-palace format that characterises older Monaco luxury properties, instead pursuing a Mediterranean resort aesthetic — low-rise buildings, tropical planting, and indoor-outdoor spaces that blur the boundary between gardens and interiors.
The 334 rooms and suites are arranged across interconnected wings facing the sea, gardens, or lagoon. Interiors follow a warm contemporary palette with rattan accents, oversized terraces or balconies, and sea-facing picture windows. Upper-category suites offer plunge pools and direct beach-level access. The resort's signature water feature is its lagoon pool, which incorporates a gradual sand-bottom entry that replicates a natural shoreline — unusual on the Monegasque coast, where beaches are predominantly pebble.
Blue Bay restaurant, helmed by chef Marcel Ravin, holds a Michelin star and applies Caribbean culinary traditions to Mediterranean and Asian ingredients — a personal and distinctive cooking style. La Vigie, a second restaurant in a glass pavilion at the garden's edge, serves lighter Mediterranean fare for lunch and dinner. Pool and bar service operates on the terrace through the season.
The Cinq Mondes spa offers treatments rooted in Asian and African wellness traditions across multiple treatment rooms, with steam facilities and relaxation pools.
