Hôtel Métropole Monte-Carlo stands on Avenue de la Madone, one block north of Casino Square in Monte-Carlo's main luxury quarter. The original hotel dates from 1889, making it one of Monaco's oldest continuously operating properties. A comprehensive redesign by renowned French interior architect Jacques Garcia, completed in 2004, transformed the interiors into a contemporary vision of Neo-Baroque luxury set within private Mediterranean gardens. The gardens — a genuine rarity in land-scarce Monaco — provide the hotel with a buffered green setting unusual for a property this close to Casino Square.
The 126 rooms and suites are individually furnished to Garcia's specification with rich fabrics, warm lighting, and bespoke joinery. La Terrasse serves poolside Mediterranean lunches in summer months.
The hotel's ESPA Métropole spa spans approximately 1,700 square metres and offers Givenchy-branded treatments, a steam room, sauna, heated indoor pool, and fully equipped fitness facilities. The Odyssey outdoor pool, designed in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld, features striking graphic tilework and is a Monaco landmark in its own right.
