Acropolis Cafe Restaurante

Acropolis Cafe Restaurante opened in 1943 next to the Catedral Basilica de Zacatecas and has operated for more than 80 years as both a working restaurant and a small gallery displaying original works attributed to Dali, Chagall and Miro on its walls. The menu mixes Mexican and international dishes, with enchiladas zacatecanas and other regional plates served alongside Turkish coffee, a signature the cafe has kept since its early decades, plus vegan-friendly options added in recent years. The dining room retains a mid-century, old-world feel with dark wood, art on every surface and a slower pace than the newer cafes nearby, functioning as an informal meeting point for Zacatecas's political and cultural figures as much as a restaurant for visitors.
