The retail mix centers on shoe and clothing chains rather than a market-style assortment of handmade goods, with an emphasis on established national brands aimed at a middle- to upper-income local clientele. The plaza's dining strip is a notable draw, anchored by Basílico and other well-regarded restaurants that give the center more of a destination-dining feel than a typical mall food court, alongside a cinema for evening entertainment. As with other formal retail centers in Tamaulipas, prices are fixed and clearly posted, card payment is standard practice alongside cash, and Mexico's IVA sales tax applies with no tourist refund program on-site. Bargaining is not customary here, unlike at Tampico's traditional markets.
