Adolfo López Mateos in the Unidad Nacional neighborhood, extends the same cochinita pibil-focused menu that made the Tampico original a local favorite. Tacos de cochinita, tacos de tripita, and tortas de cochinita are the core order, prepared fresh through the evening service typical of Mexican taco stands. The setting is informal, with stand-up and counter seating rather than a full dining room, and an atmosphere built around quick turnover and a steady stream of regulars from the surrounding Unidad Nacional area. There is no wine or cocktail program; drinks are limited to bottled soda and aguas frescas, consistent with the taco-stand format. Reservations are not accepted, and the stand runs on a dine-in-or-takeaway basis, with the heaviest traffic in the evening hours when taco stands across Tamaulipas see their busiest service.
