Concordia Artisan Workshops

Visitors can walk directly into many of these workshops, watch leatherworkers cut and stitch sandals to order, and see furniture makers shaping tropical hardwoods into chairs, tables, and decorative pieces, often built to last decades. The town's colonial plaza and 18th-century church add historical texture to a visit focused on craft shopping, and the pace is unhurried compared with the resort bustle of Mazatlán. Prices for furniture reflect the labor-intensive, largely handmade production, and larger pieces typically require arrangements for shipping, which many workshops can help coordinate. Huaraches are more portable and make for a straightforward souvenir purchase, with sizing and style customized on the spot in many shops. Because Concordia sits along a scenic inland route, a day trip from Mazatlán often combines shopping with visiting the plaza, church, and simply seeing a slower-paced Sinaloan town away from the coast.
