Vinata Los Osuna

Vinata Los Osuna is a working distillery near El Quelite that produces raicilla and agave spirits using traditional Sinaloan methods, including a stone-mill crushing process and an open-air fermentation and distillation setup that visitors can walk through on a guided tour. The tour covers the agave fields, the mill and distillation equipment, and concludes with a tasting of several spirits, often paired with a brief explanation of how the region's raicilla tradition differs from tequila or mezcal production elsewhere in Mexico. A full tour and tasting takes 1 to 1.5 hours, and reservations are recommended since group sizes and tour times are limited. Midday tours work well for most visitors, allowing time to combine the distillery with a stop at nearby El Quelite before returning to Mazatlán. The remote rural setting means the vinata is quiet outside of scheduled tour groups, offering a relaxed, low-crowd experience compared to more commercial tequila tours elsewhere in Mexico.
