Xplor Adventure Park

Xplor is built around a network of jungle ravines and underground rivers a short drive from Playa del Carmen, and the park's activities are designed to move visitors continuously through that terrain rather than staying in one fixed area. Two separate zip-line circuits, each with multiple lines strung across the jungle canopy, form the park's main draw, connected by amphibious vehicles that visitors drive themselves along a raft-like circuit partly through open jungle and partly through a submerged cave tunnel. A separate stalactite cave section is explored by raft, paddled by hand through calm, dark water, and hammock-shaped rafts allow a gentler float through connecting pools. Because the various circuits can be completed in any order and each takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour, a full day is the standard visit, with all food and drinks included in the admission price. After dark, the Xplor Fuego program runs the same zip-line and amphibious-vehicle circuits lit by torches, giving the ziplines and cave sections a markedly different atmosphere than the daytime visit. Weekday visits are noticeably quieter than weekends, and booking online in advance typically saves on the standard admission price. The zip-line launch platforms offer some of the best jungle canopy views in the park, though the site's activity-based structure means most of the day is spent moving between attractions rather than at a single viewpoint. A minimum height of 1.2 metres applies to the zip-lines, and water shoes or sandals with secure straps are recommended throughout.
