Tequisquiapan Pueblo Mágico and Plaza Miguel Hidalgo

Plaza Miguel Hidalgo is the central square of Tequisquiapan, a Pueblo Mágico about an hour from Santiago de Querétaro known for thermal springs, weekend markets, and cheese-and-wine tourism. Visitors wander the plaza's whitewashed colonial buildings, browse artisan shops selling wicker baskets and regional cheese, and stop at surrounding cafes and restaurants that spill onto the square. A half-day visit allows time to explore the plaza itself, walk the surrounding market streets, and sample local wine or cheese from nearby vendors. The plaza's kiosk and colorful facades are the main photo subjects, especially in the late afternoon when the low sun brings out the color of the painted buildings.
