Tacos El Chapulín

Tacos El Chapulín is a late-night taco counter on Calle 5 de Mayo near the Centro of Colima City, Mexico, serving Colima-style street tacos from early evening until well past midnight. The menu is built around tacos de cabeza, made from steamed beef head meat, alongside tacos al vapor and tacos dorados, fried to a crisp finish; the format is strictly counter-service street food rather than a sit-down restaurant. Seating, where available, is limited to stools or standing counters facing the grill, with a loud, informal atmosphere driven by the late-night crowd and no dress code whatsoever. There is no wine or cocktail program — this is a taco stand, and drinks are limited to soft drinks and aguas frescas. Reservations are not applicable to this format; it is a first-come, order-at-the-counter operation, and the busiest hours run from around 9PM to midnight when it draws a late crowd out of the Centro.
