The estate's architecture blends colonial-era stone construction with later additions, surrounded by working coffee terraces, gardens, and orchards that visitors can tour with advance arrangement, since the property operates as a private working estate rather than a public museum. Guided visits typically cover the main hacienda buildings, the coffee-processing areas, and the surrounding grounds, with the volcano forming a dramatic backdrop from several points on the property. A visit runs one to two hours depending on the tour arrangement, and morning is the preferred time, both for clearer volcano visibility before afternoon cloud builds and for cooler walking conditions across the grounds.
