A single groomed run of roughly 200-300m relies on snowmaking equipment to stay open outside the brief window when natural snow falls on the Coahuila highlands, typically December through February. The slope suits beginners and intermediate skiers; no prior alpine skiing certification is required, though first-timers are encouraged to book a lesson given the machine-made snow surface, which can be firmer than natural powder. Skis, poles and boots are available for rental at the base lodge, and instructors on site provide basic technique guidance rather than backcountry or off-piste instruction. The resort has run the slope as a novelty attraction and family activity since it opened, with lift operators and ski patrol present during operating hours to assist with falls or equipment issues; visitors are briefed on the fall line and stopping technique before their first descent. Because the run is short and the vertical drop modest, evacuation in the event of injury is straightforward, with patrol able to reach any point on the slope on foot within minutes.
