Climate Overview

Mauritius has a tropical maritime climate with two main seasons: a warm, wet summer from November to April (cyclone season) with temperatures of 25-35°C, and a cooler, drier winter from May to October with temperatures of 17-25°C. The island is generally warm year-round but cyclones can bring heavy rainfall and strong winds January to March. Humidity is high throughout the year.

Sep-Nov

Transitional period with warming temperatures after the dry winter. Vegetation is lush, fewer tourists than peak season, and weather is generally pleasant with occasional showers

Hot and humid with temperatures reaching 32-35°C. Cyclone risk January-March. Heavy rainfall especially on east coast. Lower beach prices but some rough weather days
