Sandakan Airport
Main airport for east coast Sabah, serving Kota Kinabalu (35 min flight) with Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia. Gateway for wildlife tourism at Sepilok and Kinabatangan.
Tawau Airport
Serves southeastern Sabah and is the closest major airport to Semporna (90 min by bus/road) and Sipadan. Flights to/from Kota Kinabalu.
