Best Time to Hike

🌸 Spring

May-June: Wildflowers bloom, trails clear of snow from mid-May at lower elevations. Ideal for Rhine Valley and lower trails. Upper trails may still be icy.

☀️ Summer

July-August: Best conditions for high alpine routes. Peak season with warm temperatures but afternoon thunderstorms possible. Start early.

🍂 Fall

September-October: Excellent hiking conditions, fewer crowds, beautiful autumn colors. Upper trails remain accessible until November.

❄️ Winter

November-April: Lower trails walkable but icy. Upper alpine routes snow-covered; Fürstensteig and Three Sisters closed. Snowshoeing available in Malbun.
