The world's largest Buddhist temple deserves a full day. Arrive at dawn for the sunrise package on the upper terraces, explore the 2,672 relief panels at your own pace, visit the Karmawibhangga Museum below, and lunch at a local warung in Borobudur town. Combine with nearby Pawon and Mendut temples (also Buddhist, 1 km each side).
