Greece offers a captivating blend of ancient history, stunning islands, and Mediterranean culture. From the iconic Acropolis in Athens to the whitewashed villages of Santorini, this sun-soaked destination combines archaeological wonders with pristine beaches and world-class cuisine.
Greece has some of Europe's most vibrant nightlife, from Athens' sprawling open-air clubs and rooftop bars to Mykonos' legendary beach party scene. Greeks are natural night owls who begin their social evening with dinner at 10pm and expect clubs to be empty before midnight.
Lively to legendary depending on location. Athens has a year-round scene that pulses from Thursday through Sunday; Mykonos is Europe's premier summer party island from June-September; Thessaloniki offers Greece's most authentic bar scene; island destinations like Ios, Corfu, and Santorini each have distinctive characters.

Nightlife tips
Stay safe and have fun.
Greeks eat dinner between 9-11pm, so don't rush to bars before midnight - the social scene builds very slowly by northern European standards
Many of the best Athens rooftop bars and clubs move to outdoor summer venues from May-October - check current locations as they change seasonally
In Mykonos, book sunbeds at top beach clubs (Scorpios, Nammos, Nikki Beach) days or weeks in advance in July-August
Use the Beat app (Greek Uber equivalent) for safe late-night transport - avoid unlicensed taxis that target tourists outside clubs
Summer open-air cinema ('therino sinema') is a uniquely Greek experience - watch films under the stars with a beer from June-September throughout Athens and island towns
