Arachova is a stone-built mountain village on the slopes of Parnassus, ten minutes from Delphi, that functions as the ski-season base for the nearby Parnassos ski centre and as a craft and food stop the rest of the year. Its steep lanes, stacked stone houses, and shops selling formaella cheese, wool textiles, and honey give it a different character from the archaeological seriousness of Delphi just down the hill, which is why the two are so often combined. In winter the town is genuinely busy with skiers; outside ski season it is quieter and better suited to a slow walk and a long lunch.

Highlights
- Arachova's old town lanes - stepped stone streets lined with shops selling formaella cheese, wool rugs, and honey from the Parnassus slopes
- Agios Georgios church - sits above the village with a long staircase and a viewpoint over the rooftops and the valley below
- Parnassos Ski Centre - Greece's most-visited ski area, roughly 25 minutes above the village, active from around December to March
- Delphi archaeological site - close enough (about ten minutes by car) that most visitors combine the two rather than treating Arachova as a standalone trip
