There is no strict age cutoff, but the wine-list-driven format and premium prices tilt the room toward adults in their 30s and up, especially at the sit-down tables; younger visitors tend to gather at the outdoor bar rail with a glass of rosé. The atmosphere is relaxed rather than clubby, built around long lunches and golden-hour drinks rather than late-night dancing, with wind and dune grass as the backdrop and a soundtrack of easy-listening lounge music kept low enough for conversation. The wine programme is the headline: more than 1,000 labels, from German rieslings to grand cru Bordeaux, alongside Champagne by the glass and a short but serious cocktail list built around gin and Aperol spritz. Food leans North Sea seafood -- oysters, lobster, and the bar's own branded rosé and preserves, which visitors can also buy to take home. Sansibar opens daily from mid-morning and runs through the afternoon into the evening, with the outdoor terrace busiest at lunch and around sunset in summer; weekday visits are calmer than weekend afternoons, when the car park and dune boardwalk fill early. There is no cover charge, but tables are not guaranteed -- reservations are strongly advised for lunch and dinner seating in July and August, while walk-ins can usually find space at the bar or on the sand. Bottle service is not part of the format; the venue functions as a bar-restaurant rather than a club, so spending is a la carte rather than by the bottle.
