Hotel Am Ehrenhof

Hotel Am Ehrenhof is a small independent budget hotel at Fischerstraße 25 in Golzheim, a district on the Rhine north of the Altstadt in Düsseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Golzheim is best known for the Ehrenhof ensemble, a 1920s exhibition complex that houses the Museum Kunstpalast, and for the nearby Rhine promenade and the Nordpark, so the hotel appeals to culture-minded visitors as well as business travellers. The area is a short ride from the Altstadt, and the Rhine embankment gives walkers and cyclists a pleasant route toward the old town and the Medienhafen. The Messe Düsseldorf trade-fair grounds lie to the north and can be reached by public transport. The surroundings are a mix of apartment buildings, offices and green space, with a calmer feel than the central station district. The property is a modest family-scale hotel with an emphasis on simple, affordable accommodation. Listed room types are single and double rooms, and the amenities are Wi-Fi and breakfast, usually a German-style spread of bread rolls, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, jam and coffee. No spa, pool or restaurant is listed, so evening meals are taken in nearby Golzheim and Pempelfort restaurants or in the Altstadt, where Altbier taverns serve regional dishes. The service character is personal and informal, with staff able to give advice on museums, river walks and transport. A direct phone line and a website are listed. Rates are typically EUR 60-140 per night and rise during trade fairs, Carnival and large events. The hotel suits budget travellers, visitors to the Kunstpalast and other museums, and trade-fair attendees who prefer a quieter riverside district. Lift access and parking vary at small hotels, so confirming these before arrival is sensible.
